Help please! We have had our 10,000 gallon fiberglass pool for 20 years and have never had this issue. Opened the pool last week and it was quite green. No problem, I thought, I've brought it back from green many times before! Lots of shock (like 32 gallons of 12% liquid pool chlorine over the week) and I still can't get it clear. I''ve been slamming the pool all week and it became lighter in color but still very cloudy. It did seem weird to me that the pool looked darker in the shallow area and I thought there was some staining going on. This morning my husband and I decide to just drain it and start fresh, so we are in the process of doing that right now. I am able to see the shallow are better now and I have major brownish staining pretty much all over the pool surface. In the past, if I have had smaller stains, I just rub vitamin C tablets in a sock, and it goes away. What I am dealing with today is another animal. Any ideas on how to handle this?
