"Inherited" 21' abg doughboy vinyl pool about 6 or 7 years ago. Pool was 25 years old then And lawn mower shot a rock through the steel side and the liner. He gave us everything!
We kept the structure and bought new liner, much larger pump and filter and upgraded the deck and ladder.
Aĺl was great until a couple years ago. The multi port valve gasket was eaten by ants over winter And never worked right. I cut it out and installed a new one but it didn't fix the issues. We switched to filterballs instead of sand so we hoped they'd help but didn't.
We have to replace the liner this year so we also have more balls, new valve, new skimmer so basically we have a"new" pool.
Wish us luck and any awesome tips would be groovy.

Good luck. Ha ha. :poke: Welcome to TFP! We're here to help if you need it.

Haha. Do you plug or drain a few inches in winter
Not down here. While we do get some mornings (or days) of freezing weather (like the Feb '21 TX deep freeze), we don't normally close. But as you get close to the end of 2022, take a look at the link below and feel free to start a new closing thread if you have any questions.
