Just got my test kit, follow up questions.

So I got my Taylor k-2006c kit, my pool is a little cloudy after heavy use this weekend. I performed the tests and this is what I got. No dang chlorine!



So I bought 3 gallons of 10% liquid chlorine from Home Depot ($9.95 for all three!), 5 lbs of granulated Cyanuric Acid, 1 large box of Borax.

I got home and added the suggested amount of bleach, then about 20 minutes later, added the CYA. The calculator is good at telling me what to add, but confused on when to add what. How long after the bleach and CYA should I add the borax?

I would not add borax. The pH is in the 7's and with your TA your pH will rise naturally.

Thanks for the quick reply! Also, did I screw up on adding the bleach and CYA that quickly? Is their a link to an article on when to add what? Thanks again!

Nope. CYA takes time to dissolve. Only bleach and acid should not be added at the same time.
