Jandy VS Replacement

Hi all, the VS motor that was installed with our pool in 2012 is dead. Started getting noisier and I pulled it apart to check into replacement bearings and found a large crack in the motor casing. We have an Aqualink controller and would like to retain the ability to control the pump speed through the app. Will this work with other motors or does it need to be a Jandy replacement?

Thanks

Welcome to TFP.

What specific model number Jandy pump do you have?

Post pics of the data plates on the motor and wet end.

You probably need the specific replacement motor for the pump. It may be more cost effective to buy a new pump.

Pump is a VS-FHP2.0

Unfortunately the motor plate has fallen off and disappeared. If it is easiest to replace the whole thing I'm happy to go that route but I'm seeing prices of $1300 for the whole pump vs $500 for a new VS motor.
