My JXI is 6 months old and just this weekend it won't heat the pool. I get a check flow error message even when on 3,000 rpm. What is odd is that the spa still heats and works just fine. Any idea what could be going on?

When did you last clean your filter?

What is your filter PSI?

Check all of your valves for proper setting.

Post pics of your equipment pad.

My pool guy (that was included free for 6 months cleans it. He finally won't be touching our pool even though all he did was vacuum and add acid) cleans the filter, but I will check the PSI when I get home.

I will check the values when I get home.

Isn't it strange that it works for the spa but not the pool?

No, it is not strange. Your pool have a different plumbing system then your spa and one can have adequate flow for the JXI heater while the other does not.

You have the typical too small Florida cartridge filter that is very easy to get clogged. Any algae problem in your water can clog the filter and slow the flow.

Hi there, in my case it was my cartridge filters. While they looked clean and I took good care of them, once I replaced them I had proper water flow.

I will get a full chem check when I get home. My pool/spa is only 9,800 gallons, is the CS 200 still smaller than I should have?

Yes, it is smaller then we recommend.

The larger a filter the less often it needs cleaning. Your filter is a Pool Service Companies dream.

I am so glad the pool company free service has ended. I was always afraid he would mess something up. I feel good about my chemistry as he only ever added some salt and acid each time. I will eventually get a larger filter, but not in the cards at the moment.

Is there a temperature set for the "pool" heater in the RS? Is "pool heat" enabled in the RS?
As there is actually less flow when the spa jets are running, flow shouldn't be the issue unless the heater is bypassed. Hard to tell from the picture (before install completed?), but there appears to be a heater bypass plumbed. Defeats the purpose of automation if you have to manually open it to run the heater for the pool.

Just an update! The free 6 month pool service (that I definitely didn't renew) said they were cleaning all filters...they were not! The filter was so dirty from not being cleaned for 6 months. I was dumb to not check to confirm. Anyways, I gave the filter a good clean and the pool heater is working just fine! I appreciate the suggestion, pool party was saved!

I am a novice when it comes to these things, but I don't have to do anything manually to heat the pool or hot tub. I the heater was working fine and just stopped. The issue was the pool service (which was included and I am not renewing) wasn't cleaning the cartridge filter. Everything is working now!
