Jacuzzi Heat Pumps?

New Pool owner and new to TFP. Leslie's just sold me a 140,000BTU Jacuzzi Heat Pump. Doing things backward and now trying to find info on what I just bought. Seems like is only sold by Leslies. Did I make a mistake? Should I try to get my money back?

Leslie's told me that the Jacuzzi Heat Pump has an 8 year warranty, but their website states 6. They also sell a Hayward W3HP21404T, which only shows as having 1 year warranty. The big problem I have with the Jacuzzi apparently only being sold at Leslie's, is where do I go to get parts, etc. besides Leslies? I called and they said I still could change to something else so looking for advice.

People have issues getting their heat pumps serviced even from the major pool companies. You are relaying on Leslie for all parts and service for the life of the heater. If you are not comfortable with that then get a HP where you have alternatives.

People like the Aquacal HP and Gulfstream.

Leslies called back. The Jacuzzi heat pumps are a rebranded sunrunner. Leslies has been pretty responsive with my crazy questions.

Did you research heat pumps in your climate? They work best at 80F, 80% humidity.
