All season I’ve been finding what I think is sand in the pool. I vacuum the pool with a skimmer sock to get it out and then every time I run my filter more appears but I’m not actually sure now if it’s sand or mustard algae. Can anyone tell from these pics?

Also I should mention this also happened last year and I changed out the valve/spider gasket and laterals Bc I thought that would solve the problem as I read on a few other posts. The sand was changed at the same time.

It's sand not algae. open the multiport top and look for a loose spoke, or check the air releaf screen in the filter, and make sure the tube goes all the way into the return pipe.
Have you caught any in the filter sock? Have you felt it at all to see if it is gritty or slimy?
