Is pool depth of 7 feet safe?

I'm at 9 foot water depth and wish I had deeper. Code for my area is 7.5 feet for diving. Shallow end is plenty big

I’m glad I’m short… Wife and kids are too… 6, 7, 8-feet - it’s all the same to us

In my summer league growing up, we dove in 5' deep water, off of these terrible 3'+ tall plastic blocks that basically slanted backwards.

Where I live (Quebec / Canada) it is 9' deep and for 19' long to dive from the border. It requires 10' deep if you have a diving board...
The deeper / longer the better for safety.
