Is it time to SLAM my pool...

I ran my SWG for 10 hours at 100% to try and raise the FC to 5 (but FC did not change).
Swam in the pool in the evening and then took a reading. FC stayed the same but lost TC now at 0.
I have noticed black algae starting to appear in the tile grout and the grout actually wearing away around the water line.
Do I need to drain the pool a third and refill to bring the high CYA levels down then start the SLAM process or just add liquid chlorine (house hold bleach as to raise FC without raising CYA any more).

I did the overnight FC test and it was the same FC 2 TC 0.
Also I noticed out of the return lines that there's what look like white calcium deposits on the pool floor..

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Don't expect the FC to come up with high CYA. You say CYA is 100. Try the diluted CYA test to see how much past 100 you actually are. Accordingly you'll have to do a drain down or a water exchange.

I think it means you have a VERY bad testing system. FC-4 and TC-25 are just not compatible with one another.

You probably have to drain off some water but first you need a test kit that you can rely on and will give you meaningful results.........unfortunately, that may not be easy in Thailand.
