Today I replaced my old EasyTouch load center with the new Intellicenter Load center so I could take advantage of the new breaker layout for some future upgrades. This project is step 2 in my move from EasyTouch to Intellicenter (that upgrade was completed earlier this year) to an advanced system similar to what @MyAZPool has done.

I have everything else working with the new panel, except that once I finally got the VSF to power on (I had to pull the comm cable to get it to power on), I now can't get it to power off with the Pool circuit on the IntellIcenter panel or from the panel on the VSF itself. It will only turn off if I trip the breaker. I have verified that (1)the VSF is wired to the LOAD side of the #1 relay, (2) the #1 relay is connected to the FILTER connection on the OCP motherboard, and (3) that the VSF comm cable is correctly connected between the VSF and the OCP motherboard. The VSF panel shows "display not active," which from what I can tell is what it should read when connected to the Intellicenter.

I made no configuration changes to the Intellicenter setup when I swapped the load centers, so I'm at a loss on what would cause this issue. I was going to try to do a reset on the VSF, but thought I'd post here first to see if anyone has any other suggestions.

(1)the VSF is wired to the LOAD side of the #1 relay,

Tracy. the VSF pump should be wired to the LINE side of the #1 relay.

When you turn the pump OFF on the IntelliCenter the pump should stop running but will not power off. The pump stays continuously powered and ON gets the pump turning and OFF stops the motor running.

Does your pump stop running when you turn the pump off in the IntelliCenter?

Sorry...it is on the LINE side of the relay. And I looked at that word 10 times to make sure it said LINE! Anyway, once the pump motor started (the display always had power), it will not stop running regardless of the Intellicenter Pump on/off setting.

Can you describe how it is connected?

What happens if the IntelliCenter is put into Service Mode?
20A DP GFCI breaker feeds both LINE sides of #1 relay. VSF wired to both LINE sides of #1 relay (erroneously wrote LOAD side above). System transformer wired directly to both LINE sides of a 15A DP GFCI breaker. IntelliCenter powers up normally as does the VSF display panel. When breakers are turned on (and it doesn't matter which one I turn on first), the VSF turns on and motor spins about 5 seconds later. Once OCP loads the automation program, the Pump circuit starts (I'm still in the time window for that circuit), and I can hear the #1 relay pick. If I manually turn off the Pump circuit, the relay drops, but the pump motor continues to run, even after allowing the few seconds of delay that it normally takes to stop. This was working fine until I swapped load centers today.

Comm connection is the cable that runs from the side of the VSF to the RS-485 port on the MB using the yellow and green wires. Appears that the OCP and the VSF are communicating since the pump shows "display not active," which I believe is correct when comm is working correctly.

It's dark now, and I'm beat, so I'll try service mode tomorrow.

Do you have any features active that are tied to the pool pump? One thing I noticed that I do not like about the IC is that I would think that the POOL selector would be a master on/off, but it is not. For example, if I have my in floor feature selected on, and I toggle the POOL off, the pump stays running. It will only stop if all items associated with the pump are not active.

Hopefully that makes sense. If not, let me know and I can try and explain better what I mean.

Makes perfect sense. I'll check that when I get home. I pulled up my system on the IC Android app, but the Pump page above does not have the toggle you have circled above. If I can't find something simple this afternoon, I may just do a factory reset on the IC panel and run the wizard again. I don't have anything fancy configured yet, so it would not take long to completely rebuild the automation.

Ok...so I've turned off the "feature" setting for every aux, and the pump still won't turn off unless I put it into Service mode, then the controls work as desired. So this definitely has to be a setting I've got jacked up somewhere.

And then it hit me...

When I installed the new load center, I rearranged the Aux circuits, and moved the IC40 off of the load side of Relay 1 to the load side of Relay 2 (Aux 1). Relay 2 is fed from the load side of Relay 1, so it will only pick when the pump is on. The "old" R2 was the booster pump for a cleaner I no longer use, and there was a speed setting in the VSF section for that old pump, which was now being shown as the IC40. As soon as I deleted that speed setting, the pump started responding to the panel control. So all fixed! Appreciate all of the hints and tips.
