I've looked, and am unable to find info on this. I'm ready to add the borates to the pool but I'm unable to determine if this will cause my ORP probe to malfunction or read incorrectly. Please advise.

Sorry no one chimed in on your question. Since ORP does not work reliably in outdoor pools there are very few members of the forum with them.
I have no idea on your question. I know that CYA above 30 ppm gives ORP problems, not sure if borates makes it worse.

Not sure what problems people have with the outdoors. Once I figured out the ORP number to actual chlorine sweet spot it's been on autopilot and has been spot on. I know of the CYA issues that's why I was curious about the borates.. guess I'll be the test subject..
