Hello,
tearing out and replacing concrete and liner, I want to put in stairs under the liner. Price on stairs is around $4000.00 for wedding cake style, seems high to me. I believe made from galvanized steel. Any alternatives out there I can research?

Thanks for the help,
Tom

John,

If you don’t mind me asking why did you go with a polymer pool?
Corrosion resistance, I figured it would be better between the high ground water table in Florida and the salt generator.

Yep looks like a lot more steel there then in my steps which also came from Royal.

Were you happy with there kit and service? It’s amazing how my kit started out affordable now the price is starting to go higher and higher with every upgrade.
I’m actually consider getting a price to have the pool put in by a company.

Thanks for the info, part of a new pool install that comes with stairs, they are cheaper and part of it. Retro fit for pool reno seems to cost more I guess.

They have been fantastic. William has been very helpful with all of my questions both before the order and still now as I am installing. I am sure there was some kind of allowance in my kit for the original steps that may have offset the price.

I got quoted 56k for a 13'x26' gunite pool in my area. This came in much cheaper and is bigger.

Just as cost point, our 11" Roman end grey fiberglass stairs were $4250 each this past fall when we built our pool. We have a vinly lined pool and opted for fiberglass steps because we have a lot of dogs that will (hopefully) use the pool, and a 3 year old that is the spawn of Satan. We anticipate trucks being driven all over the steps. LOL!

Glad to hear their a nice to work with. Yes they include the fiberglass stairs in the order unless the customer states otherwise. I think it’s 1700.00.
Did you get a quote on the a vinyl pool with polymer panels? Gunite is always going to be more expensive than vinyl.

Did you mean just a quote on the kit or kit and someone to install it?

No I didn't get a quote on the kit to have it installed. Once I decided to buy it in kit form I figured I would just install it myself, minus excavation and I just decided to sub out the pook krete floor since my concrete skills are less than fantastic.

I got a quote on a gunite pool and fiberglass. Once we factored in a crane to swing it over the house fiberglass was out.

Did you have a company quote you a price for a vinyl pool. Not the kit that you buy.

The wedding cakes are good for pools with curves or tight on space. I like bumped out stairs because the pool feels bigger and they blend nicely into any shape and style. It's a pain to remove fiberglass stairs and swap with steel liner over setups
