Inground pool loosing about an inch or more a day

We have an inground cement pool that has been loosing water about 1 to 2 inches a day. There are no leaks around the pump, no leaks in the yard its bone dry, we did a dye test and cant find it. Any suggestions?

You can try this... Leak Detection - Trouble Free Pool

Basically, you need to determine if the leak is with the pump on or off...

Most leaks are at the skimmer or at the light.

One possible point that often gets overlooked is the backwash drain line..

I Atlanta its been in the mid 90’s and i am losing a lot 1/2 to an 1” a day due to evaporation. Did yours just start?
Funny somebody asked on our neighborhood page if others were having the same issue.
But yours sounds like more then evaporation if you’re losing that much

1" is a lot, but it would not hurt to run the bucket test, just to make sure..

Questions to OP:

What are the now prevailing winds MPH ?
Is your pool exposed to the winds and for how long?
Is your pool exposed to the sun all day or not, how long?

If your pool is directly exposed to the winds and full sun all day long, then losing 3/4-1" is not impossible.

I'm about 65 m west of Atlanta, temps in the 90s, I've lost 1" from my AGP in the past week. Heat will do that to ya.

That is VERY atypical. 1/4 daily can be attributed to evaporation in your climate......not much more than that.

Seems it dry also, couple folks posted on next door in my area they are losing a lot this week also. 2 or 3 replied they are having to add water every 3 days
