Inaccurate CYA tests

I have had my pool for 5 years and I am still having trouble getting accurate CYA readings. Today I did 2 tests - the first came up as 60, and the second came up as less than 10. Each test was with a new water sample. Is there a better test I can use for CYA? Or can anyone help me get better at this? I'm using the Taylor K-2006 test kit.

I think is best available for the price.
You can buy a standard solution to help calibrate yourself with. A known level of cya.
Try filling to a safe line, say 20, then lower and glance at it. Raise, fill to 30, lower and glance. Repeat as needed.
You can also dump solution back in bottle, shake and test again. Take an average if needed.
Don’t stare at it or you will see it continuously.
