Imagine Illusion 40 Complete 10/19/21

When the pool install is complete take one final video showing the pool and then pan over to the road showing its current condition. While filming state the date and the final score of the latest football or baseball game to "timestamp" the video.

Its looking great!
I will definitely take the final video of a crystal clear pool with the slide running. But I'll do it on the big reveal day with my granddaughter when she finally gets to see it in person. She is the one did this for. Like... I wanted this pool but I wanted it more for her. I'll have my husband walk her down in so I can capture her shock n awe!

I called my fence guy yesterday n he's calling the pool builder today to talk about getting in here to set corner posts to get started.

Goob it of work done today. They got the forms set and the pad laid out. They didn't have enough copper to bond so that'll be done first thing tomorrow morning. Having an inspection and then pouring concrete! We are moving along and I'm so glad after one week of pool building that I dont have to stare at this for 8-10 months like gunnite pool owners do! This build is coming along incredibly fast.

Pics for today...

I passed inspection yesterday. He did not pressure test the lines. I dont know why I didn't think of it before decking. I'm an idiot. Ugh....

Well they’ve definitely taken GREAT care so far, so trusting them in other things is well within reason. Plus, with them doing it soup to nuts, you won’t have any finger pointing if something does go south. They can’t claim the deck people whacked their perfect plumbing and vice versa.

It looked like all the plumbing was a home run to the equipment pad, so since its flex there are no fittings other than the connection to the pool, id feel pretty good about it.

I’m almost certain they didn’t pressure test mine. (Regular glued PVC). I was at work but came home to them laying pipe and still 10 ft from the pad. I had a lot to talk about with the guy (like all my cut sprinkler lines and which tail went where) and I watched him finish the pluming to all the equipment while we chatted and we started filling. They may have done quick tests on parts further back on the line, but it certainly didn’t sit overnight.

Here a pressure test is required to pass inspection. My pool sat for a week with a gauge on it.

I honestly do feel good about it. The only 90° are on the actual pool to run it. I know 100% if there is an issue that my PB will be on it n get it fixed but I have not hit one snag in this until I had to decide on the handrail placement. Now it's my gate placement for the fence.

I noticed a rough area on my pool after it was set. It is on the skimmer wall on the corner step right in the back corner. I know these are man made products. It's in an inconspicuous area n it really just looked "rough". I thought I had taken a pic of it but I didnt get a straight on, in your face pic but i do have some that can be zoomed in on.

Well... that darker rough spot pealed off as soon as the water hit it. The guys pulled the forms and i thought it was concrete so i went to move it off the ledge and nothing is coming off. My builder got down to look at it and he said it looks like someone damaged it and threw something on it to cover it n once the water hit it, it just dissolved and the fiberglass is showing through.

Im not mad but dang... we are putting in a warranty claim to have Imagine come out and fix it. Im glad it's not on my tanning ledge! I'll have to keep ya updated as it probably wont be fixed til next summer. I guess that "they" are setting up Pennsylvania fixes so that the Imagine person can get the "PA pools" done. My PB said it probably won't happen til next year. That's why I said summer.

If that’s it then great 👍🏻 Roll on !
My builder got ahold of the lady that takes the initial claims n was telling her I was so irate. He had her on speakerphone. She was trying to calm me n we were all laughing. The pool is fine n not losing a bit of water. We'll just have to get through it. I'm just happy it's in an area that you can hardly see. If I didn't tell you it was there, you could miss it.
