Opened last week to a green swampy mess and about a million worms (fly larva).... Fast forward one week: We were swimming yesterday in almost CRYSTAL CLEAR water:
All it took was time, patience( hard for me!) and BBB:

My totals for the week:
The TFT 100 kit
$12 worth of bleach
$3 worth of stabilizer
$1.50 worth of muriatic acid.
2 boxes of baking soda
& a heckuva lot of filtering, skimming, brushing and backwashing

Here are my specs
FC 5
pH 7.4 (going to try and bump it up tonight)
CYA 50
TA 80

FC dropped 1 overnight.....
I think I'm good now. Thanks for all of your help!

Nice work on your pool!

I would leave pH right where it is. It's perfect now and will likely tend to slowly rise over the summer.
