I have an Pentair easytouch control system with a gas heater connected and a single speed pump. I want to maintain my pool temp at 85 deg and I have set the heat function to do that. However at the scheduled pump off time, the pump turns off and of course so does the heater. Is it possible to set the easytouch so that the pump cycles to maintain 85 deg, or what is the best way to do this. When the pump cycles off in the late afternoon, all the heat generated by the gas heater is lost by the time the pump cycles on the next morning.

The pump must be on for the heater to cycle on. So you will need to have the pump set up to be running at all the times you wish the heater to run. If you have a VS pump, you can set the pump to run at a low rpm and then ramp up when heat is called for.
