How to remove the wheels off the mx8

The answer is behind the wheel is a small hole that you have too push with a small screwdriver to push out the wheel pin. This is difficult just keep at it. The wheel pins and at least one of the 2 bearing will be unusable.

How often would you need to replace them? I just bought an MX8 elite but haven't opened it. Been going back and forth between a Hayward Navigator.

I have had an MX8 elite for a few years now and every season I need to replace the scrubbing brushes and the treads. Never had to mess with the wheels. I also have the Zodiac leaf catcher. Between that and skimmer socks, pump strainer basket cleanout and filter cleanings are few and far in between.
