How to release Pressure to clean pump basket (pentair superflo)

Hi All,

Looking at my new superflo and after vacumming a few times, my pump basket needs to be cleaned.

It says that I have to relieve the pressure before I take the basket out.

Is there some sort of valve on the pump that does this? the instructions say "Open the manual air relief valve on top of the filter " which I cant find

My filter is jandy DE filter (DEV60) - does anyone know what I should be looking for?

Henry,

On top of your filter should be a gauge/air relief valve.. If you open it, all the water in your filter will drain back into your pool along with some of the DE..

I recommend that you turn the pump off and turn your multiport valve to off.

Then just take the pump lid off..

Clean the basket, reinstall the basket and lid, turn your pump on and immediately turn the multiport back to Filter..
