How to know where electrical line is for pool?

Any tips on finding the path that the builder ran from the house to the (above ground) pool?

I am digging holes for footers for a deck, and I don’t want to hit the line.

Dial 811. They may locate private lines in NY. Otherwise rent an underground utility detector. RadioDetection makes several good units.

We actually used 811 last year, but I don’t think they found the pool line. Just the main electric line.

They will find it. Tell them you need outbuilding services located. Pools are outbuildings.
