How long did your Dolphin S50 last?

How long did your Dolphin S50 last? We've had ours for 2 years and it leaked and got water in the motor and circuit board after year one. My husband was able to dry it out and fix it, but again this year it leaked and were not sure it's repairable again. It's quite expensive to replace every 1-2 years, especially when we only use it 1-2 times a week for 4 months a year. Hoping we just got a bad apple, but I wanted to hear how much luck everyone else has had with them, before dropping another $600+ on a new one.

The S series use all the same components (roughly) so it sounds like a bad apple.

You said you had a leak after year 1...was it not covered under warranty? The motor is fairly expensive to replace but typically with a failure mode like yours, the service shops just put a new motor in the rather than trying to take them apart. Rather than buy a new one, can you get the unit serviced? A new motor install is less than the cost of a new robot and basically makes your robot brand new. Perhaps if you talk to Dolphin about it, they might throw you in a new swivel cord for your troubles.

Most people get 5+ years or more out of their robots.
