How does the cooler weather effect the pool chem?

1) How does the cooler to cold weather effect Chlorine, pH, alkalinity, stabalizer and such?

2) Since the bather load will be almost nil, what gets into the pool water that needs to be killed?

The one that's really effected is the chlorine, at colder temps you have less use, as you pointed out, and algae and other nasties have a harder time 'breeding'. So you will find that your chlorine stays around a little longer without having to add more :whoot: The other chems which play into the indecies have a temp factor but it's usually not anything to worry about. About the only thing which will cause a major chlorine demand are the leaves, but if you don't let them pile up on the bottom your chlorine demand should continue to go down with the temps :)
