How do I remove this multi-port valve from this old sand filter?

Yes it came off. I need to get the sand out though so I was hoping I could get the whole black part off

That ring at the bottom may have a tab you depress that allows you to spin it, or it will have a couple screws holding two halves together. Don't dismantle anything until someone who knows for sure because they own one) replies.

Didnt see any screws but maybe there are tabs. I am getting rid of this filter so I am not super worried about screwing it up
