Hi! Questions about my pool liner installation

Hi there!
So we've had a crazy ride trying to get a new pool liner installed correctly. I hired a national company (should have went local) to install my new pool liner way back last winter. They installed it in the spring of last year and it did not fit - it was either measured incorrectly or cut wrong, in addition to it not fitting there were little holes in the corners. The installers installed it and told me it would stretch into place - no way it was sloping inwards - no way it would stretch back into place.

The company came out and looked and agreed it was not ok - so they came back again to install. The re-measured and installed a new liner again a month or so after the first. This one fit perfect - so perfect. Except again there were little holes and rocks poking through everywhere. Not only that it was the WRONG DESIGN.

The company agreed again - holes and rocks poking through was not ok.

They came out AGAIN to install another liner on Friday. They informed me the last two installers should have put in new foam - they didn't smooth out and fix the concrete or level out the bottom sand - this crew was great and did all that (even though I know had to pay more money for the new foam). EXCEPT here's my question. It seems like the liner is way too tight! the back corners are not anywhere near the wall it looks skewed and bulges out maybe 5-6 inches - this isn't ok right? it seems like it will just split or cause issues down the road - or be easily punctured or just come loose out of the track.

Once you put water in it is "should" go back against the wall.. how big is your pool? Water weight is very heavy....

If your pool is 20x36 at 5 feet deep it holds 27,000 gallons and that weights 238,000 pounds That = 106 tons... That plastic will stretch 6 inches with 106 tons against it I promise... :)

Thanks for the response!!! - we did start filling the pool - and like you said they started going in a bit - but as it was filling tears started in the corner - the installer is coming back to take a look (eventually hopefully soon)

The pool is small about 20,000 gallons yeah

Too tight these guys sound like bozos. I see the liner pattern out of norm in the ome photo of plumbing fitting. The liner should be wet set. No cuts til the water reaches that point. You cannot do a good inatall and cut just on a vacuum

I made the mistake of going with a company that hires out people from the area to do the installation - like buying your rugs at home depot or national floors direct, and it's always a different person that measures vs installs. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME they've installed a liner that had holes/or was too tight... it's ridiculous. They keep replacing it but this is getting insane.

For my liner someone came to take exact measurements.
