Hi - I know nothing about pools and am just getting started with my Intex Ultra XTR above-ground pool with sand filter. Based on manual, filter is either Model SF80110-2, SF70110-2 or SF60110-2.
So when I run the filter, everything goes smoothly. But when the filter is off, if the plunger valves are open, the water comes in and seems to overflow the sand tank and water starts coming out of the top. The plunger valves should always be open, right? I'm thinking that securing the top of the sand tank isn't the issue since there is no leaking when the filter is running. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
