Help with Hayward multi port

Not sure if this is the correct area to ask but...
I need to rebuild it, I'm sure I can but I have found the spider gasket has to be glued in. What type of glue ? Regular PVC glue or something else?

Instead of glue I use a light silicone sealant under the gasket so that it wont pop up when turning the valve. It works like glue however if you need to take it out it will peel off easily.
