this is a new to us pool setup and not sure if the valves are going the correct way or not. i cant read all the names on each plumbing. Hoping someone way smarter than myself can help me make sure they are all the correct position.
It would be helpful to see some side views not just overhead views of a jumble of pipes. We need to see what pipes connect to and be able to follow them.
Tell us about the pool... number of skimmers? returns? main drain? water features?
List in your signature the specific equipment you have.
Thanks. i updated signature as the best i could. i am not real familiar with the equipment.
One issue is the spa keeps draining. now it wasnt, but i turned some of the valves, and now i didnt take a before picture. so some may be wrong. I did change the flapper to ensure that wasnt the issue, as i read online that may be a cause. But didnt help me here.
It is hard for me to follow also, but I did see where you have three input pipes to the main pool pump.. They are marked Main Drain, Cleaner, Skimmer. You have the main drain fully open, the cleaner full open and the Skimmer shut off..
Shutting off the skimmers makes no sense at all.. I would open the skimmer and the cleaner so that they both work and only open the main drain as little as possible.
Tell us what the pump with the large pipe is for??? I assume for your spa jets and bubbles...
sorry about the pics. i will get more tonight. Thanks for the advice on the skimmer, etc valves. In the picture below, putting them in line with the plumbing is closed?
In your pic the Skimmer is closed. Notice where the "off" is pointed???
It is possible that someone screwed with the handle.. Just go over to the skimmer, remove the basket, and see if you can feel suction at the pipe in the bottom of the skimmer.
