Help needed in grand prairie.

Somewhat new to this. Have to replace a liner for the first time and have no real idea what im doing. My pool says esther williams on some of the pieces but no idea if the liner is one. Any ES experienced people with free time willing to help me out?

Do it on a hot day so the liner is nice and warm and can be easily manipulated and moved.

Some friends are needed IF they can follow directions and work as a team. A promise of beers and grilled food goes a long way in finding said friends LOL

Its oval. 15x24. Do you recommend a wall or floor liner? If so is there a particular brand?

Those two are largely just personal choices...especially the second. What's under it now? Are you happy with it?

I dont really know. I can see a foam wall type thing where its falling down and in the floor there is what feels like a board or something running across the floor.

I don't have the wall foam as I worry about it holding moisture against the wall and causing it to rust faster. For the floor I just have hand packed sand.

Ok. Any idea how to tell about a liner? Like what brand it is because none of the pictures ive seen look like mine.

The "sting" looking stuff is called "liner lock". I have it on my pool. It helps hold the liner in the track.

I am going to call my guy in now..... @InyoRob He will get you all set up for what liner to order!!!

Ok cause i tried just putting the old linet back up with that and it just kept popping out.

The liner pops out or the "string" aka liner lock pops out?

The liner itsself keeps falling out. We drained the pool and tried to put it back in but it popped out as soon as water got up near the top.

Even with the liner lock in it or you can't even keep it in long enough to out in the liner lock?

Okay now we have to go old school! Popsicle sticks!!! WHAT??? Yeah you can use good, old fashion Popsicle sticks to help hold the liner in the hanger. You might need to use the sticks AND the sticks to hold the liner in good. You can buy them at any craft shop.

I don't know if there are different sized of liner lock. Will have to ask @InyoRob

If you can remove the bead receiver, I'd recommend a j-hook/unibead type liner. Those liners have a thick rubber hook at the top that hangs on the pool wall. They are easy to install and you don't have to worry about using the liner lock or popsicle sticks. The downside is that you have to remove the top rails in order to replace the liner.

Is that doable with an esther williams pool? And what would hold the new liner in?

It is doable on most Esther Williams pools. Does it look like you can remove the bead receiver?
