Help! Green but not algae...I think!

Hi all! I just joined. I’ve owned a pool for 15 years and never had this problem. My pool is a beautiful emerald green. I do not think it is algae at all. I had the pool store test the water as a kindness (they are not actually open) and they told me my metal content was high. Recommendation was to add 1.5 bottles of Pool Magnet and then use Sparkle Up. Long story short. It’s still green. No slime on sides or bottom. I’ve vacuumed, scrubbed, shocked, etc. I don’t have numbers right now as I’ve always had the pool place test it for me. But I know my chlorine levels are very high. Is this fixable, or do I need to drain and start over? Beyond frustrated!

Welcome to the forum!
The water looks green and cloudy. It does have algae, but may also have metals. You need to attack the algae first.
You need to follow the SLAM Process. To do that, you need a proper test kit, see Test Kits Compared. I suggest the TF-100 A proper test kit is needed to get the accurate water chemistry results needed to follow the TFP protocols.

While you are waiting on your test kit, add 5 ppm FC worth of liquid chlorine / plain bleach to your pool each evening with the pump running. This will replenish the FC lost each day to the sun and also inhibit any algae in the water from growing further.
I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry.
