Hello, I live in Southern NJ. We just purchased a hard sided pool to replace our old one. The previous one came with the house when we moved in 20 years ago. Once the pool is filled any recommendations? Pool size is 24ft round 54 deep. We have well water and there is a softener system on it.

Order a test kit! I suggest the TF-100 A proper test kit is needed to get the accurate water chemistry results needed to follow the TFP protocols.

You might also try a quick test for iron even though you are using a softener. Fill a bucket with water and place something plastic/white in it if you have it laying around and add a few ounces of bleach to see if it reacts.
