My pool is above ground, 10,000 gals and I'm having trouble with high CYA and cloudy to green water. Last year all was good, this year has been a challenge.
Welcome to TFP! With a high CYA, you'll first want to lower it. That's a priority so that you can then balance the water properly and perform a TFP SLAM Process to remove the algae. Do you have a TF-100? If not, that should be step #1. You must have that kit to test the levels accurately and for the SLAM. Once you have that kit, do a diluted CYA test as noted HERE starting at step #8. Then you'll have a good idea of how much water to exchange to lower the CYA. Get the CYA down to about 30-50 in preparation for the SLAM if you can. Then we can help coach you further as necessary.
