Hello!
New member here from Phoenix, AZ. I own an older home which came with a 27,000 gallon pool and an awesome 9 ft deep end, but in need of repair. When I bought the house, I drained the pool and filled with with freshwater and plumbed in a 20k bio-mechanical pond filter into the system. We supported a lot of Tilapia with this configuration for several years, but eventually dealt with too many algae and waste issues with the pond/pool. So long story short, we decided to abandon that idea and just earlier this week completed a hefty remodel. We love it! But now I'm faced with how to care for it. Thank goodness for this site! It's exactly what I wanted/needed as a proficient DIY'er. I've gone from being scared and willing to pay a pool service company, to now I am taking on pool service myself thanks to the info on this site!
