I just registered, but I'm not new to the forum. I've been lurking here for 6 years or so. This place saved my sanity after I moved into a house with a pool (my first) and got overwhelmed. It was an old above-ground vinyl pool half buried in the ground- barely hanging on for dear life. After hitting the end of my rope, a random goodle search led me to TFP. I got my FAS/DPD kit and went to pool school. Thanks to the information on this forum I was able to get my problem child in check. I even made some improvements along the way: poured a new equipment pad, installed a VS pump (over-sized of course).
So I'm checking in to say thanks for all the help. Now my old vinyl pool has reached the end of it's useful life, and it's time to retire it. I've opted to build a new pool, so I'll be posting a build thread soon.
