I am so glad I found this community of pool owners with such a wealth of posted information . I started reading threads on here that were eye opening and shocking, in a good way mind you. So I decided to join up and introduce myself. I have spent thousand of dollars over the years at these so-called professional pool stores and have never been satisfied with the results. Currently, I am struggling to get my pool open as it was not covered this past winter (long story for another time) and got filled with leaves and branches. After a couple of weeks of blindly scooping out a mountain of debris, I slammed it with Leslie Pools products and it turned blue but cloudy with dead white algae. My sand filter would not clear it up so I cannot see the bottom of the pool to finish scooping and eventually vacuum to waste…after Spending more money at the store and still cloudy water, I decided to stop the spending spree and do some research and here I am!
