We opened our pool today and our heat pump has issues. it is only one year old, i was sure to follow instructions at closing time last year. We got water running back through all our lines, including the heat pump, but we noticed there was no power to the heater. We turned the breaker on again just to discover it was tripping itself off immediately. we turned the filter off and inspected the usual areas. with the heat pump off, we looked through the top grate and turned the filter back on and saw there was water dripping from the control motherboard or whatever, inside the unit itself. Obviously this isn’t right, and the reason the breaker trips off. My plan is to call their service department but just curious if anyone knows what this issue could be, how it happened, or how to fix or prevent it. Thanks!

I would make sure the breaker is off and put some tape over it so no one will turn it back on. Scary stuff there! Let us know what you find out.
