I have a solar system in southern CA. It works great when there's sun. On a cloudy day it does nothing. You probably have a few more cloudy days than we do, but it may be worth having anyway. The 4x20 looks to be a great size for the pool you're building, and for what it costs you'd get a great return on your investment even if it only heats your pool 25%-50% of the time.
