I was lured over here by red-beard from another forum we are both on. The pool we have currently is my first pool and I have been maintaining it since we moved here about 8 years ago. The (gunnite?) pool was installed in the late 80's so its been around a while ! Typically I don't have a lot of trouble keeping the pool up but the last few years I struggled a bit to keep yellow algae at bay. The pool is surrounded on 2 sides 35-40 foot tall evergreen trees like Leyland Cypress or similar.
I got black algae over this winter and I am in the middle of trying to rectify that using Leslies advice and products but have been getting frustrated with their service. I just ordered a K 2006-C test kit as recommended.
