green stains

it's hard to see in the pic- but there is a band of green along the bottom of the wall. Brushing and slamming did not help. Any tips?

Are you sure it is organic? Have you set a trichlor puck on it for a few minutes? See what happens.

put a tablet on it- didn't do anything. What else could it be?

No color change of any kind with the tablet on it?

Possibly iron. Try putting vitamin C on a spot.

what would be the best product to clear the entire area? some form of solid acid I guess?

An ascorbic acid treatment if a very large area.

The problem with iron is that it stays in the water. It's easy to clear with ascorbic acid, but it comes right back even if you use sequestrant.

so there is no prevention? I did not have this issue before I replastered the pool.
