My brother's friend stopped by and was amazed by how clear my pool is. He proceeded to practically beg me to help him with his AG.

Here is what I am up against:

Eeek! Where to start? I told him to fill it back up and then I will shock it hardcore. Other Suiggestions?

you're on the right track! Test the fill water so you will know what other adjustments will need to be made, and get some bleach in there pronto... even as you are filling it! There is a ton of goop there... just add the bleach and stir up the water REALLY WELL to mix it in until you can run the pump! (check the water meter to determine about how much water is in the pool so you can add the proper amount of bleach to shock to 10ppm... you don't want to overdo it and bleach out the bottom half of the liner!!)

This will give you a bit of a head start!!
