Hello,
I picked up hot tub last week. Its a 120v (can be both but I don't have 240 and the original owner didn't either so luckily i didnt have to do any re-wiring) and about 6x6.
I filled it up and tested it:
1. No Leaks.
2. All jets work. Both low and high pressure.
3. Light Works.
4. He gave me an extra brand new filter.
5. He gave me all kinds of spa maintenence chemicals. This is where it becomes overwhelming for a first time spa owner.
6. Heater does NOT work. So I ordered it online for $135. Hasn't arrived yet.
I joined this forum this week seeking help with my Above Ground pool algae issue. Working on that, emptying it out and gonna SLAM it.
In the mean time, I thought It take out the chemicals and list them in addition to adding images.
The spa is in very good shape and the cover is also in good shape. No rips and is lightweight.
I filled it up to test it, but going to have to drain it to replace the heater because it doesnt have those "shut offs" that allow you to change the heater without draining it (saw some you tube videos about it and unfortunately i dont have those).
Would you guys mind helping me with the start up? I can start a new thread later on asking for help maintaining it to avoid overcomplicating things.
Chemicals that it came with:
2 Cal Spas: Stain & Scale Defense
2 Cal Spas: Spa Bright
2 Cal Spas: Oxidizer Shock
1 Cal Spas: pH/Alkalinity Up
1 Cal Spas: pH/Alkalinity Down
Power Soak (Filter Cartridge)
Baqua Spa Waterline Control
Baqua Foam Disperser
Baqua Spa Calcium Hardness Increaser
And a few different types of testing strips.
I don't know what any of these do, completely overwhelmed, but I want to do this right. I got this mainly for my girlfriend who needs to relax after handling our 2 wild toddlers. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get this right.
