After surviving the snowmageddon and really cold temps and a considerable amount of water replacement due to raining and draining. I did a fresh batch of tests today. I like the CSI indicator but it doesn't really give advice on what to do about it. That is unless it is so intuitive and I missed it.

I was going to add some liquid chlorine and salt too start.
What should I balance next? TA? CH? CYA? Is there an of importance?

This time of year you don't try and balance the pool chemistry.

Maintain your FC and let your pH rise to 7.8 so your CSI rises some.

This might sound insane but I am often in the pool by the end of March

I guess I am paranoid about the could cause plaster damage on the app.

Thanks!!

Raise your pH, raise your salt, and raise your TA. All will raise your CSI which you want to get above -0.3.

Regarding this screenshot, I too have an incorrect timestamp, as though its in Zulu time (when I click on the pool math logs under my avatar in the forum). Note this one above is set in the future, by at least six hours. Is there any way to adjust this to my local time? I checked my forum settings and it is correctly set to CST, which is my time zone. It would be helpful to correct so others can read my tests correctly. Maybe its a server setting that an admin can adjust?

Ahh thank you!!!

Your ph and TA are too low for your temperatures. Add baking soda.
Will do.

The CYA will need to be bumped up not just for SWCG efficiency but also once the ambient temps and sun angle get high.
That is what I did next.

I bumped the salt up to 2800 from 2150 will bump it up again to about 3200.

Raising CYA today.

Will give a day or so to level out then will ad baking soda.

Thank you for the advice.
