Found Sand in Pool

Hello, I'm new to owning a pool and to this forum so my apologies if this has already been asked. I have a Bestway 18x9x48 with a 1000 GPH Sand Filter Pump. I have maybe a month with it and this morning I found sand in my pool. It wasnt alot but still I was worried why some came out from the return. What could it be? And how can I fix this ?

Welcome to TFP! If it is indeed and (light color and feels gritty), the check the following:
- Make sure to run the rinse cycle really well after backwash.
- Pump is OFF when you change filter settings.
- You may need to open the filter to ensure a lateral wasn't damaged or became loose at the hub.
