Ok so I'm slamming because I can't keep any FC in pool and it's very cloudy. I had a new VSP installed and they didn't turn my salt cell back on and I didn't realize it until it was too late. So I started a slam but now am getting a foam like substance on top of water. I also am raising my cya at same time. Could the foam be a reaction to an organic or a reaction to CH? My CH is at 290, it's usually around 320. 20210621_175214.jpg

Only thing added was a scale inhibitor that wife insisted we added. Bioguard was brand.

Hmm -- not sure but many pool store potions like to foam up.
The SWCG sometimes can create really fine bubbles under certain circumstances. Do you see the cloud coming out of the returns?

That's it. Do not test your CC - it will be very high. For awhile.

Don’t know if it’s just the image upload but that looks more like an oil-slick swirl than bubbles.

Does someone like to use lots of lotions/sunblock/hair products/etc before swimming?

Oh, and never add MPS to a chlorine pool. As Marty said, your CCs will now read persistently high for many weeks. You’re going to have to ignore that reading for a while because it’s a positive interference.
