Fixing or replacing older Raypak heater controller

Hi all, I have a Raypak 206A (RP2100) heater manufactured in May 2006, and has the older model controller (part number 010253F). There is power coming to the board but the board is dead.
Is there anything I can check with this board that can be fixed? These are getting harder and harder to find. If I replace it, is there a conversion kit that I can upgrade to the newer board?
Thirdly, I got a quote from my pool guy to replace the board and bezel for $700. I only use this to heat the hot tub and not the entire pool. Is it time to replace the entire heater?

I can't speak to replacing the board but 14 years from a Raypak I'd say you got your money's worth. Even if you replace
the board at some point other components are going to fail so I'm not sure throwing $700 to fix it when you could put that money towards another that will probably last another 14 years.. You can also look at the burner tray if it's pretty rusted out then I'd for sure not invest anymore money into.

I've had a RP2100 and got about 14 years out of it and at that point went for a replacement.

Look for rust in the heater to determine the heaters' worth. The board, 700.00 (you may be able to do better if you LOOK around). A new heater, a couple thousand installed easy.
You will be able to tell the upgraded board by the absence of components on it. It will also have the FENWAL integrated into it.

Pool Clown, I saw the control board that you reference, but that is the newer model. Can I just replace the old control board with the new model? Or do I need to get some upgrade kit? There is little information on this out there. TIA.
