First pool

I have this ugly blue tarp around the pool as i used double tarps in my setup just to be sure. Anyway, i will be putting up reed fencing to hide it's ugliness, and am just at a halt, like my hamster fell off its wheel, as to how to hide the tarp.

I have put pavers under ladder and pea gravel on each side, but what now? Mulch would be easy and lovely but messy, right? I will also have a footwashing station at the steps. Water collects on the blue tarp and it needs to quit. Please help. The last pic is what i am doing.

Why not more pea gravel?

I stopped because I wasn't sure I liked it. I truly want mulch but my 20 year old son tells me I will regret it, and it fades.

Is there some reason you can't trim the tarp?

Around the ladder, lay some weed barrier cloth beneath the pavers. It will let water drain through but keep grass and weeds from coming up.

Richard320 i thought about that. In fact I have the cloth out there already. I'm gonna cut that today

I have to redo pavers at steps. They're a tad bit too short and ladder isn't level. Btw, have I mentioned how much I hate this ladder? I'm a very clumsy gal and unsure of myself from when i weighed over 200. I am looking at making what i want for the steps with a landing. Anyway, I'm seriously thinking about mulch. It's so pretty. The last pic is all gravel. Looks blah.
