Hi new to forum. Seems like everyone wants a pool these days and we cant get enough fiberglass contractors out to give us a quote. We got one for a latham pool 12x22 we have small area and an hoa and concrete w acrylic pad, pool install 3/4 hp hayward pump system, and screen enclosure is 62 k. We have a downward sloping backyard and we are looking at a 3’ x 45’ retaining wall. Considering concrete next. Any recommendations for PB. Thanks

Hi Brenda, welcome to TFP.

Seeing as you are in FL, I would not put a fiberglass pool in the ground as the water table is very high in that state. I would go the concrete route as it is heavier and would resist “pop-outs” should you need to drain for repairs. Either pool will still require a hydrostatic valve at the bottom to allow ground water into the pool should you need to empty.
