A contractor doing work in our yard recently accidentally damaged the power chord going to the spa.
We changed the power chord and subsequently I replaced a fuse, but the circulation pump didn't work.
I jumped it, meaning I bypassed the electro-mechanical relay, and the pump does work now, full time.
I suspect the electro-mechanical relay is faulty; I'm keeping my fingers crossed the electronics behind it are still OK.
Although I've used the spa fine since this incident, we're selling the house, spa included, and I would like this repaired.
My question folks:
Is it worth it, also is it safe, to have the relay replaced?
Is there anything else I should look at doing before attempting this replacement?
Thanks in advance!!
