Exposed rebar after gunite

I had the gunite completed on a new build and on the outside of the pool in the deep end there is a small exposed piece of rebar. Its probably about half an inch at most. There is at least 8 inches of gunite around it going into the pool from measurement I have taken. Does anything need to be done with this?
Should it be cut back sealed and then get an inch of hydraulic cement?

You can see its the small dot in the picture just over the ground water.

Yes, cut it back and seal it with hydraulic cement.

Thank you figured it wasnt a big deal. The gunite guys did a great job I think this was just a piece that was a bit long and didnt quite get the gunite there. There is around 8 to 9 inches of gunite behind it in the deep end.
