Hey friends!
Opening my pool with TFP methods for the 5th season!
Our pool is 13 years old this summer. Our Jet Therapy pump for the spa appears to be not functioning well, and was not last summer. We have not tried a full evaluation of the problem with it yet, but it seems to have impeller issues and motor issues. Pump is a Jandy PHPF 2.0HP.
For Refresher, when we bought the house, the pool had been closed for at least 2 seasons, and was missing a whole host of equipment, much of which is still missing. We've been fixing/replacing things along the way.
As we are debating how to proceed, here are my questions:
What is the life expectancy of a pump before it need complete replacing?
What is the life expectancy for PVC exposed to light/weather? Some of our Ball Valves are showing some cracks on the handles, some check valves are not working right.
If we replace one pump, should we go ahead and replace the other pumps?
Also, what pump would be a good replacement for the Jandy PHPF2.0?
Thanks!
