Our pool equipment was wrecked by a big freeze (Texas Feb '21) and we do not know when it will be repaired. The pool is accumulating dirt/grit that the Polaris would have removed. It is difficult to remove the fine dirt with a pool net. We need to run the Polaris 360 to clear the dirt/grit accumulated using either a sump pump as the source of water power (a mere 2.2 galls/minute) or a hose from a faucet (about 60 psi).

What water power does it take to drive a Polaris?
Any ideas on connecting a garden hose into the Polaris water feed pipe?

Welcome to TFP.

You need about 25 GPM of water flow to power the 360. A garden hose or a sump pump will not do it.

I would just leave the dirt in the pool. It is not going to hurt anything and will cleanup once you get your pool and pump running.

Most important is pour 3-5 ppm of liquid chlorine into the pool daily and stir it in with your pool brush to keep the water clear.
